It's pretty simple.  For:
  e = (interface{})(i)
Do:
  tmp = i.itab
  if tmp != nil {
    tmp = tmp.typ_ // load type from itab
  }
  e = eface{tmp, i.data}

It is smaller and faster than calling the runtime.
